New WPT Main Event Added To Season X - Lucky Hearts Poker Open to Run In February.
World Poker Tour(R) is adding a new WPT Main Event to Season X, the WPT Lucky Hearts Poker Open at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel in Hollywood, Florida, USA. Running from February 10 - 14, 2012, the brand new Tour stop will carry a $3,500 buy-in and includes a re-entry option on Day 1B.
While the tournament is a non-televised WPT Main Event, the final table will feature WPT Live Streaming with Tony Dunst and a special poker professional as the guest commentator. World Poker Tour TV talent and staff will be attending in full force, as Mike Sexton and the Royal Flush Girls are also scheduled to visit Hollywood in Florida for the new tournament. Players will be able to mingle all week at the Royal Flush Girls Social Bar, which has quickly become the popular hangout during WPT Season X.
2 months following the WPT Lucky Hearts Poker Open, World Poker Tour will return to Hollywood in Florida for the second edition of the televised Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown running April 18 - 23, 2012. Last season's event proved to be a tremendous success, and both the WPT Lucky Hearts Poker Open and the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown are poised to attract a strong turnout of top poker professionals and Florida grinders. Season X now showcases four WPT Main Events in the state of Florida.
WPT and Seminole Hard Rock Casinos have a multi-year partnership that includes several WPT branded events and the development of official WPT Poker Rooms inside select Seminole Hard Rock Casinos.
