Titan Poker Player From Germany Won Pokerface 2007 Tournament In Las Vegas.
30-year-old Titan Poker player, Maik Andre Daehling from Germany, one of the fifteen member delegation of
Titan Poker room
players, won the First Prize of the Pokerface 2007 Tournament, which took place at the
Binion's Gambling Hall in Las Vegas, USA, this week.
A Hamburg resident, Maik makes his living as a freelance journalist, working for a small daily in his own town in Germany. The excitement of the Pokerface 2007 Tournament was twofold for Maik, as it turned out to be both his very first trip to the USA and his first live game ever!
Maik Daehling gained his gaming experience by his regular game play at Titan Poker (online poker room), where he recently became proficient enough to reach the Diamond VIP level. Maik's first response after becoming the World's Best Poker Player, the titled bestowed on him by the organizers of Pokerface 2007 tournament, was: "Today changed my life, I still can't believe it!" Walking away with the $200,000 Pokerface Top Prize package, which includes a seat at this year's WSOP, he said: "I couldn't sleep after I won the seat. I was so nervous and excited! I didn't even think about winning until I got here, got encouraged and started playing."
Maik will represent Titan Poker at the upcoming WSOP Tournament in Las Vegas and when asked about his preparations for the big event, he said he'd watch pros on TV, practice at Titan Poker and enjoy the sun. Before heading back to Germany, Maik plans to stop first in San Diego to check out snorkeling for a few days.
